This is the first post on the new blog! I've wanted a place to write about engineering leadership, distributed systems, and building software. A big part of my life is working with people while building on different technologies. This blog will be a reflection of my thoughts on those, and will hold advice and suggestions for whoever finds them useful.
What I'll write about
- Engineering leadership, strategic planning and working backwards from an end goal
- Building systems from scratch - like kivo, a redis-compatible memory store I wrote in Go
- Microservices patterns and distributed systems gotchas. My favorite part of it will be technologies like - Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink, ArgoCD, Loki etc.
